Talking about salads is talking about a sea of possibilities. Perhaps many say that they do not like salad because they think of the typical salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion. Yes, it’s good, it’s a classic, but it can get boring.
In a salad there is room for almost any ingredient and the funniest thing is to open the refrigerator and the kitchen cupboards and put everything that comes to mind, do you dare? I hope there will be many more! This salad with feta cheese and lettuce triumphs in my house and I hope in yours too.
Ingredients to make Salad with feta cheese and lettuce:
• 1 small lettuce
• 80 grams of pitted green olives
• 80 grams of sliced pickles
• 1 handful of sultanas
• 1 golden apple
• 200 grams of feta cheese
• 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
• 1 pinch of salt
• 1 pinch of ground black pepper
How to make Salad with feta cheese and lettuce:
The first step that we will do to make this salad with feta cheese and lettuce is to cut the lettuce, put it in the centrifuge and wash it well under running water. Let drain, centrifuge and reserve.
Next, we cut the feta cheese into squares and put it in our salad bowl. Add the drained olives, the pickled cucumber slices, the raisins and the golden apple cut into cubes (we leave the skin on).
Tip: If we don’t have pickle slices, we use whole pickles in vinegar and cut them into pieces.
Finally, add the well-drained lettuce and season with salt, olive oil and ground black pepper. Mix well with the help of salad forks. And to enjoy! We can now serve our salad with feta cheese and lettuce to eat.
As a main course, I recommend a marinated baked loin strip or baked lemon chicken with potatoes.
Trick: I don’t put vinegar in the salad with feta cheese because the pickles already provide it, but if you like it, don’t hesitate to add it!
