Russian Salad Recipe with Cold Cuts

The Russian salad is a dish originally from Russia, which over time has spread to other countries with the typical variants of each place. In Argentina, the salad with assorted cold cuts is the traditional dish par excellence in the Christmas holidays, since, in addition to being an easy-to-prepare dish, it is to the taste of all diners in these family festivities.

Ingredients to make Russian salad with cold cuts:

• 6 units of potatoes

• 4 units of Carrots

• 1 can of peas

• 1 unit of pepper

• 200 grams of Mayonnaise

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1 pinch of black pepper

• 100 grams of cooked ham

• 100 grams of raw ham

• 100 grams of cheese

How to make Russian salad with cold cuts:

To start with the Christmas salad preparation we must peel the potatoes and carrots and then cut them into small cubes. Place the potatoes, for the Russian salad, in a container with enough salted water. When it reaches the boiling point, wait a few minutes until they are tender and remove. Pour the potatoes in a colander until they drain completely.

On the other hand, do the same with the carrots. Keep in mind that these require a little more time to cook than potatoes. Prick them and when they are tender remove them and strain them.

Take a container and pour the cooked ingredients into it along with the peas that we had previously reserved.

Finally, add the mayonnaise and mix well so that it is incorporated into the other ingredients. We correct seasonings.

To finish with this delicious Russian salad with cold cuts, we must take great care in the decoration of the plate. We make rolls with each slice of cold meat and arrange them around the salad as seen in the image. We finish decorating with some strips of red and green peppers in the way we like the most. You can serve this delicious salad.
