Ripe plantain rolls with bacon recipe

Ingredients to make Ripe Plantain Rolls with Bacon:

  • 2 units of ripe bananas
  • 150 grams of smoked bacon
  • 1 jet of Oil to fry
  • 1 pack of wooden toothpicks

How to make Ripe Plantain Rolls with Bacon:

  1. The first step to make the banana rolls is to prepare the ingredients.
  2. Peel the plantains and cut them lengthwise.
  3. Then, take a frying pan with enough oil to fry over the heat and, once hot, add the plantain slices.
  4. Remove the banana slices to a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess fat from our preparation.
  5. Once the banana slices are cold, place a sheet of bacon on top and roll up very carefully, so that the roll is tight.
  6. To ensure they don’t fall apart, pierce each roll with a wooden toothpick.
  7. Then, bake the banana and bacon rolls at 150ºC for approximately 20 minutes.
  8. Remove the banana rolls from the oven and serve them as a side dish or appetizer with other tapas, such as croquettes or tuna dumplings.
