Ripe plantain balls with seafood recipe

Ingredients to make Ripe Plantain Balls with Seafood:

  • 1 unit of ripe banana
  • 5 units of Prawns
  • 150 grams of Squid
  • 2 tablespoons of Butter
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 units of Lemon
  • 500 milliliters of sunflower oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Sweet Plantain Balls with Seafood:

  1. Before making this recipe with ripe plantains, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.
  2. In a pot with boiling water, cook the ripe banana, peeled and cut into pieces, for 40 minutes until soft.
  3. When ready, macerate very well until you get a puree, add a pinch of salt.
  4. In a frying pan, melt the butter and add the finely chopped garlic, cook over very low heat for one minute.
  5. Add the seasoned prawns and squid, and cook over low heat for a few minutes.
  6. At the end, add a little lemon juice and, once they are ready, cut the shellfish finely.
  7. Make a medium ball with the banana puree, crush it a little and add a tablespoon of shellfish in the center. Then, close the ripe plantain ball very well.
  8. As you can see, it is very important to chop the prawns and squid very small in order to properly fill the banana.
  9. In a pan with oil at medium heat, fry the plantain balls for five minutes until they are golden.
  10. Then, immediately pass them through absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
