Ripe plantain balls with cheese recipe

The banana balls with cheese, in addition to being delicious, are a dish that you should include in your diet without a doubt. The ripe banana is a food that provides a lot of energy; in addition, this variety also provides potassium that we know helps people with hypertension problems.

We have many recipes with plantains and one of our favorites is stuffed plantain balls, children love them and adults even more. This version with cheese, we assure you, will not last a minute on the plate.

Ingredients to make Ripe Plantain Balls with Cheese:

  • 1 unit of ripe banana
  • 100 grams of mozzarella cheese
  • 80 grams of fresh cheese
  • 1 liter of Oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Ripe Plantain Balls with Cheese:

  1. Before making the stuffed banana balls, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready. Remember that we use ripe plantains.
  2. In a pot with boiling water, cook the ripe banana, previously peeled. Leave on the fire for 25 minutes until soft.
  3. When ready, remove from the water and macerate until obtaining a banana puree. Then, add the grated firm cheese, a pinch of salt and pepper, mix everything very well.
  4. Trick: If you use a cheese that is salty, you do not need to add more salt, in any case, try it beforehand so as not to overdo it.
  5. To make the balls, make a banana ball by kneading the puree with your hands. Then crush it and add a little mozzarella cheese in the center.
  6. Close very well, forming a ball with the dough again.
  7. Fry the plantain balls in oil at medium heat until golden. When they are ready, pass through absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
  8. Finally serve and enjoy these delicious banana balls stuffed with cheese.
