Rice with spinach recipe

Ingredients to make Rice with spinach:

  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 400 grams of rice
  • 900 milliliters of vegetable broth
  • 300 grams of frozen spinach (you can also use fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

How to make Rice with spinach:

  1. Wash and cut the pepper. Remove the seeds and chop into not very thick pieces. Peel the garlic clove.
  2. Put the olive oil in a wide pot and heat it over medium heat. Add the garlic and bell pepper and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Trick: use the vegetables that you like the most, such as carrots, red peppers…
  4. Add the rice and stir it around with a spoon for 2 minutes.
  5. Tip: you can also make rice with spinach and mushrooms by adding the mushrooms that you like the most, such as mushrooms, before adding the rice.
  6. Add the vegetable broth, which must be hot, and the spinach. To make this rice with spinach, preferably use a homemade vegetable broth.
  7. Add a little salt and a teaspoon of turmeric to give it color and flavor. Stir with a spoon, cover with a lid, lower the heat and let the rice cook for 17 minutes.
  8. Tip: if you prefer to make soupy rice with spinach, add a little more broth.
