Rice with saffron recipe

Ingredients to make Saffron Rice:

  • 250 grams of Rice
  • 1 unit of chopped medium onion
  • 20 strands of Saffron
  • 70 milliliters of olive oil
  • 1 cup of meat broth (needed amount)
  • 1 package of shredded Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Saffron Rice:

  1. To make saffron rice, the first thing you should do is take a saucepan or deep skillet and heat the olive oil. When hot, fry the chopped onion until it becomes transparent. Separately, mix the saffron with the meat broth.
  2. At that time, add the rice, salt and pepper to taste. Add meat broth mixed with the saffron so that the rice is covered and cook it all for approximately 18-20 minutes. As the broth is consumed, add more.
  3. When the saffron rice is al dente, remove it from the heat and serve. If you wish, you can sprinkle grated cheese or chopped parsley. You can accompany this dish with baked chicken breasts with wine or grilled sea bass.
