Brown rice sautéed with mushrooms, a simple, healthy and light dish. I really like this recipe because it adds flavor and fewer calories. Brown rice is much healthier but its texture is not usually very popular, so it must be accompanied with ingredients that add flavor such as mushrooms and parsley.

Ingredients to make Rice with mushrooms and parsley:
- 350 grams of brown rice (1¾ cups)
- 1 can of mushrooms
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 handful of parsley
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 splash of olive oil
How to make Rice with Mushrooms and Parsley:
- We prepare the ingredients for the sautéed rice with the mushrooms, garlic and parsley.
- We put a pot with water on the fire and, when it starts to boil, add the brown rice to cook it for 20-30 minutes, according to the manufacturer. Brown rice needs a little more cooking than regular rice. When it’s done, take it out and drain.
- Chop the garlic and parsley finely, as shown in the photograph.
- Put a frying pan with oil, sauté the laminated mushrooms and, when they take on a little color, add the garlic and parsley, and stir to mix everything well, being careful not to burn the garlic. We take out and reserve.
- Put the rice in a frying pan or casserole over the heat, add a little oil, garlic and parsley, and stir. We tried salt.
- Add the mushrooms that we have with garlic and parsley, stir everything together for a few minutes and serve. This dish of rice with mushrooms and parsley is perfect for staying in shape while enjoying a tasty recipe. We can accompany it with a tomato salad, a green salad or the one that we like the most.
