Rice with Corn and Bacon Recipe

  1. ½ pound Bacon or Bacon
  2. 1 can of sweet corn
  3. 2 cups of rice
  4. ½ pound of leek
  5. 1 white onion
  6. 1 cup of chicken broth
  7. 5 garlic cloves
  8. 3 cups of Water (720 milliliters)
  9. 1 pinch of salt

How to make Rice with corn and bacon:

  • To make this delicious loose rice, the first thing you should do is fry the finely chopped bacon until it is golden and crisp, but without letting it burn. Drain the oil well and remove the excess with absorbent paper.
  • In the same saucepan or cauldron, fry the onion and garlic, also finely chopped, until the onion is transparent. Remember to make these fries over low heat.
  • Next, and to finish with the fried rice, add the can of corn and stir everything to integrate the flavors.
  • Immediately add the water along with the chicken broth and when it starts to boil, add the rice. Let it boil covered for 10 minutes over medium heat and then continue cooking the rice with corn for 20 minutes over low heat.
