Ingredients to make Rice with cod:
- 400 grams of cooked rice
- 300 grams of shredded and desalted cod
- 850 milliliters of Water
- 2 units of onion
- 1 unit of ripe tomato
- 1 unit of green pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 pinch of sweet paprika
- 1 unit of saffron thread
- 1 jet of Oil
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Rice with cod:
- We leave the cod in water and change it for 1 day. This will ensure that the fish removes all the salt.
- We make an onion soffit. To do this, we chop it very finely and put it in a pan with hot oil.
- Then we cut the pepper in Juliana and incorporate it into the sauce.
- Cut the garlic into slices and add it when the onion and pepper are well browned. Sauté everything for 3-4 more minutes and add the previously peeled and crushed tomato.
- Add the saffron and incorporate the cod. We left the fire for about 5 minutes and added the rice together with the paprika.
- We mix everything well so that the rice takes on all the flavors and we leave it to simmer for a couple more minutes. Rice can be made in a traditional way like any white rice.
