Rice with Chicken and Peas Recipe

Ingredients to make Rice with Chicken and Peas:

  1. 1 unit of onion
  2. 1 unit of pepper
  3. Peas to taste
  4. 200 grams of Rice
  5. 1 unit of tomato
  6. 1 jet of fried tomato
  7. 1 cube of Avecrem or chicken broth
  8. Water

How to make Rice with Chicken and Peas:

  • First, cut the chicken into pieces and season with salt and pepper. After 20 minutes of marinating, in a large saucepan with hot oil, fry the meat over high heat until it is toasted on the outside.
  • Next, lower the heat and add the chopped onion and the chopped pepper. We let it poach for 20-25 minutes over low heat so that the rice is fried.
  • About 15 minutes before the end of the indicated cooking time, add a chopped tomato. And about 5 min before we add the fried tomato, stirring so that the flavors mix. The amount of fried tomato will go to taste.
  • Finally, all that remains is to add the rice, the peas to taste and the water. Remember that the amount of water should always be double that of rice, that is, for each cup of rice we will add two of water. Add a pill of averred or chicken broth, and add salt if necessary.
  • When the chicken rice is ready, turn off the heat and let it rest for a few seconds. We serve hot. For dessert, we recommend one with lemon as the main ingredient to facilitate digestion.
