Rice with Cardamom and Orange Recipe

Ingredients to make Rice with cardamom and orange:

  1. 1 cup of rice
  2. 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  3. 1 unit of Orange
  4. 50 grams of white onion
  5. 1 clove garlic
  6. 1 pinch of salt
  7. 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  8. 1 pinch of Pepper
  9. 2 cups of Water (480 milliliters)

How to make Rice with cardamom and orange:

  • Before making this recipe with cardamom, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.
  • In a pot with oil, fry the finely chopped onion and garlic together with the cardamom powder. Cook for 5 minutes over low heat, season with salt and pepper.
  • Add a little of the grated orange peel, stir and cook for another 1 minute.
  • Add the rice and mix everything very well so that the grains are impregnated with the flavor of the sauce. Then, add the water, the juice of an orange slice and salt, cook over medium heat until the water evaporates and cover the rice. Continue cooking for 25 minutes over very low heat.
  • Finally, serve the rice with cardamom and orange to accompany any dish with mild flavors, such as grilled or lemon chicken or fish fillet
