Rice with cabbage and bacon recipe

Ingredients to make Rice with cabbage and bacon:

  • 6 cups of rice
  • 1 small cabbage (cabbage)
  • 200 gr of chopped bacon or smoked bacon
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 12 cups of chicken, meat or vegetable broth
  • 50 ml of oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to make Rice with cabbage and bacon:

  1. Wash the cabbage, remove the ribs and cut into thin julienne strips.
  2. Sauté the bacon or bacon in the oil. When it is cooked, add the onion and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Wash the rice and add it to the previous preparation, stirring until it is slightly fried.
  4. Heat the chicken, meat or vegetable broth and pour it into the preparation. Stir well and let it come to a boil.
  5. When it boils, cover with the cabbage and season with salt and pepper. Cover the casserole of rice with cabbage and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve the rice with cabbage and freshly made bacon once it is well cooked.
