Ingredients to make Rice with cabbage and bacon:
- 6 cups of rice
- 1 small cabbage (cabbage)
- 200 gr of chopped bacon or smoked bacon
- 2 chopped onions
- 12 cups of chicken, meat or vegetable broth
- 50 ml of oil
- Salt
- Pepper
How to make Rice with cabbage and bacon:
- Wash the cabbage, remove the ribs and cut into thin julienne strips.
- Sauté the bacon or bacon in the oil. When it is cooked, add the onion and cook for 5 minutes.
- Wash the rice and add it to the previous preparation, stirring until it is slightly fried.
- Heat the chicken, meat or vegetable broth and pour it into the preparation. Stir well and let it come to a boil.
- When it boils, cover with the cabbage and season with salt and pepper. Cover the casserole of rice with cabbage and cook for 20 minutes.
- Serve the rice with cabbage and freshly made bacon once it is well cooked.
