Rice Soup with Fish Recipe

Ingredients to make Rice Soup with Fish:

  1. 2 units of fish fillets
  2. 1 unit of purple or white onion
  3. 1 unit of Carrot
  4. 1 pinch of dried thyme
  5. 2 cups of rice
  6. 2 units of Lemons
  7. 5 grams of Parsley
  8. 1 pinch of garlic paste
  9. 1 pinch of salt
  10. 1 pinch of black pepper
  11. 500 milliliters of Fumet or fish broth

How to make Fish Rice Soup:

  • The first step to make the fish soup recipe is to pre-list the ingredients. I have used hake fillets, but you can use the fish that you like the most.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
  • Add the onion cut into small squares.
  • Once you see that the onion turns transparent, add the fish in medium cubes as shown in the photo with a little salt and black pepper to taste.
  • While we are sealing the fish we are going to prepare the base of our soup. To do this, in a deep pot add the fish broth with the rice. If you are wondering why the rice has a dark tone it is because I used a coconut rice that I had from the night before, to get a sweet and sour flavor you can use coconut rice or white rice.
  • Let it conserve over medium heat and add garlic paste and thyme to taste. Add the fish cubes that we had sealed in the pan and, once this base has been added, lower the heat and let it cook for approximately 15-20 minutes.
  • As we add the fish cubes, you will see that the preparation generates a little foam on the top, do not be scared, it is normal. The fish cubes are going to be cooked in this broth, then, with the help of a spoon, we are going to remove this foam and thus we are going to clean our recipe of any impurity. Let it keep for 5 more minutes and if you wish, add a little white wine.
  • Serve the fish soup with rice adding a little fresh parsley on top, if you want to add more ingredients to the recipe it is totally valid. Prepare a green salad to accompany or grilled chicken breast.
