Rice recipe with white beans and chard

Ingredients to make Rice with white beans and chard:

  • 250 grams of white beans
  • 4 units of Swiss chard stalks
  • 100 grams of Rice
  • 1 unit of chorizo ​​pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 unit of ripe tomato
  • 1 handful of sprigs of parsley
  • 1 pinch of Saffron

How to make Rice with white beans and chard:

  1. In order to make this rice dish, the first thing to do is soak the beans the night before. The next day, drain them and cook them in a pot with clean, cold water over low heat for an hour.
  2. After the hour of cooking, we add the chopped chard stalks, the meat of the choicer pepper, the chopped tomato and the sprigs of parsley. Mix and let cook over low heat for another hour.
  3. When the white beans are well cooked, remove the casserole from the heat and reserve. We take another wide casserole and fry the garlic. Later, we incorporate the rice and add, little by little, the broth of the beans together with all the ingredients of the stew.
  4. Add salt to taste, a pinch of saffron to color the stew and let it cook for 20 minutes. The result should be a broth rice with white beans and chard. You can serve it as a single dish and prepare a lemon dessert, or cook a grilled chicken breast to accompany it.
