Rice recipe to accompany meats

Ingredients to make Rice to accompany meats:

  • 1/2 kilo of rice
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 lettuce
  • Salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 pepper
  • 2 tomatoes without skin or seed

How to make Rice to accompany meats:

  1. Chop the vegetables into small cubes and boil them in water and salt for 12 minutes, trying to make them hard; water is reserved.
  2. In a saucepan, pour the oil and, over low heat, sauté the garlic, onion, pepper and tomatoes, all finely chopped.
  3. When everything is fried, add the rice, previously washed, the cooked vegetables and the water that was left over from the previous cooking; let it boil for a quarter of an hour.
