Rice recipe for sushi with apple cider vinegar

Ingredients to make Sushi Rice with Apple Cider Vinegar:

  • 1 cup of Water (240 milliliters)
  • 135 grams of short grain rice
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of Sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Sushi Rice with Apple Cider Vinegar:

  1. Bring the water to a boil and add the sushi rice when it reaches a boil. Lower the heat, cover the pot and let it cook until the rice absorbs all the liquid.
  2. Take a small saucepan and mix the vinegar with the lemon juice, sugar and salt. Bring this mixture to a boil, lower the heat when it boils so that it simmers until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. When the rice is ready, add it to the previous mixture once the sugar has dissolved. Mix and let it cook until the rice has absorbed all the liquid. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
  4. The sushi rice is ready. Now you can use it to prepare salmon sushi, avocado sushi or California roll sushi.
