Rice and Milk Horchata

Ingredients to make Horchata with rice and milk:

  1. 150 grams of white rice
  2. 100 milliliters of condensed milk
  3. 4 drops of vanilla essence
  4. 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
  5. 50 milliliters of whole milk

How to make Rice and Milk Horchata:

  • As always, the first thing we have to do is get all the ingredients ready. If you want, you can make condensed milk yourself at home easily and quickly, for this you can follow the recipe for condensed milk step by step.
  • We start by soaking the rice for 24 hours. To do this, place the rice in a bowl and cover with water up to a finger and a half above.
  • The next day, pass this through a strainer to separate the rice from the water. Place the drained rice in the blender together with 50 milliliters of soaking water and another 50 milliliters of milk.
  • Turn on the blender and blend everything at maximum power for a few minutes. Pass through a strainer to discard the rest of the rice.
  • To finish with our homemade rice horchata, put the previously strained rice water back into the blender and add the rest of the ingredients, cinnamon, vanilla and condensed milk. Blend again at maximum power for a couple of minutes.
  • Take the mixture to the fridge for about two hours so that it cools very well and when you are going to serve, stir the rice and milk horchata well to mix what is left in the background and enjoy.
