Ingredients to make stewed Zaragoza’s:

  • 250 grams of red beans
  • ½ cup of tomato paste
  • 2 white onions
  • 1 head of Garlic
  • 3 small sweet peppers
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Cumin

How to make stewed Zaragoza’s:

1.Wash the beans and cook them in the traditional way with boiling water.

2.When they are soft, add the bacon and the other ingredients. You can chop everything to taste, depending on how big you want the vegetables and meat to feel in the bean dish.

3Continue cooking for another 15 minutes and check that the beans, meat and all the vegetables are cooked.

4.Serve the stewed Zaragoza’s piping hot with French bread and salad.
