Recipe of Lentils with chicken curry

Ingredients to make Lentil Chicken Curry:

  • 100 grams of boneless chicken thigh
  • 170 grams of Lentils
  • 1 green pepper
  • ½ yellow bell pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • ½ Leek
  • 2 Carrot
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of curry powder
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil

How to make Lentil Chicken Curry:

1.We gather all the ingredients to prepare the lentils with chicken curry. Remember that it is necessary to soak the lentils for a few hours before preparation so that they take less time to cook.

We have used lentils of the ‘pardon’ type and we have soaked them for 2 hours.

2.In a pot, fry the peeled garlic together with the olive oil and the diced chicken. Season with salt and pepper and let the chicken brown for 3-4 minutes. After this time, we remove the chicken and reserve it.

3.In the same pot add the sliced ​​leek and the green pepper cut in the same way. Let them cook for 2 minutes.

4.Add the yellow pepper cut in the same way as the green pepper, move and let the vegetables cook for 3-4 minutes.

5.Add the peeled and sliced ​​carrots and the grated tomato. We move so that the flavors mix and let cook for 3 more minutes.

6.Add the chicken back to the pot, add the curry powder and cook for 2 more minutes.

7.It is time to add the drained lentils. We remove, rectify salt and cover the lentils with chicken curry with water. Bring to a boil and cook for approximately 20 minutes, depending on the size of the lentils.
