- 1 kilogram of tender corn kernels
- 500 milliliters of water
- 4 units of Cuaresmeño peppers

How to make Esquites with epazote:
1.We get the ingredients ready to prepare the homemade Esquites.
2.We wash the chilies, the corn kernels are rinsed and drained. We wash and disinfect the epazote leaves as well. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
3.When it is hot, add the corn kernels.
4.We make a cut in the shape of a cross on the tip of the Cuaresmeño peppers, and add them to the cooking. Later we add the salt to taste, and the epazote leaves.
5.Cover the pan and let it continue cooking for 20 minutes or until the corn kernels are soft. From time to time we move a little to prevent them from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
