- 4 units of Artichokes
- 150 grams of flour
- 1 unit of Egg
- 125 milliliters of cold water
- 200 milliliters of Oil
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 lemon
How to make Artichokes battered with flour and egg:
- The first thing we will do to prepare these battered artichokes with flour and egg is to put a glass of water in the freezer so that when we use it is very cold but not frozen.
- Then we will clean the artichokes, we will remove the green and hard leaves until leaving the heart.
- We will divide them into quarters or smaller.
- We take a bowl with water, we will squeeze a lemon and we will also put some slices, and we will add the artichokes, so that they do not rust.
- To prepare the batter for the crunchy battered artichokes, beat the egg in a bowl, add the cold water and beat well.
- Next we put the flour and a pinch of salt and we mix it gently until everything is integrated.
- Heat a frying pan with plenty of oil. We take the artichokes out of the water, dry them a little with kitchen paper and put them inside the dough.
- When the oil is very hot, we will fry the artichokes in batches, and we will go around on all sides so that they are very tender inside.
- We will remove the artichokes coated with flour from the pan and put them on a plate with kitchen paper to absorb all the oil.
