Ingredients to make vegetable rolls with filo pastry:
• 10 sheets of filo pastry for spring rolls
• 1 onion
• 1 carrot
• 1 tomato
• 1 piece of celery
• 2 cloves of garlic
• ½ green bell pepper
• ½ red bell pepper
• 5 olives
• 1 avocado
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• ½ teaspoon of salt
How to make vegetable rolls with filo pastry:
Julienne the onion and peppers, grate the celery and garlic, dice the tomato, grate the carrot, slice the olives and slice the avocado. Mix all the vegetables in a bowl with a little salt and cumin.
Open the roll paper and place several tablespoons of filling on the bottom edge. Then, put an avocado wedge on top, fold the sides and roll the dough. If you make your own phyllo dough or the one you bought is sold in large sheets, you will need to cut circles the size you want your vegetable rolls to be.
To seal the vegetarian spring rolls, wet the top edge with a brush with a little water and close well. Repeat the step with the other sheets.
Heat a frying pan with oil and fry the vegetable rolls on all sides until golden brown and crispy.
Serve the Veggie Wraps with Filo Pasta with white rice or another side, or with your favorite sauce. As a note, the sweet and sour sauce gives it a delicious touch.
