Recipe for Vegan Oatmeal and Carrot Burgers

Homemade hamburgers are a very popular dish among children and adults because they have a delicious flavor, a very pleasant consistency and because they can be enjoyed on their own or prepared as a complete hamburger accompanied by the famous buns, dressings, vegetables, etc… Sandwich style.

This time we bring you a special recipe to prepare vegan oatmeal and carrot burgers, which will have oatmeal and carrot as main ingredients. The first is a very healthy cereal due to its fiber content and the second is a vegetable rich in vitamin A, so the two together give us a very nutritious combination that we cannot miss. So we invite you to stay with us and discover how to make vegan burgers in an easy way, because they are delicious and you can’t miss them.

Ingredients to make vegan oatmeal and carrot burgers:

  1. 4 pieces of Carrot
  2. 1½ cups oatmeal flakes
  3. ¼ cup of water (60 milliliters)
  4. 1 clove garlic
  5. 1 sprig of Parsley
  6. ½ piece of Onion
  7. 1 pinch of oregano
  8. 1 pinch of salt
  9. 1½ cups of ground bread
  10. 1 pinch of pepper
  11. ½ tablespoon of ground cumin
  12. ½ cup vegetable oil

How to make Vegan Carrot Oatmeal Burgers:

  • To start, we wash our carrots perfectly, and once they are ready, with the help of a grater, we grate them finely.
  • On the other hand, we take the onion and garlic, chop them finely, as we see in the following image.
  • Once the carrot is grated and the onion is ready together with the garlic, we place them in a bowl together with the oatmeal, mix very well and add the finely chopped parsley, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper, and integrate everything perfectly.
  • Now we take the water and the ground bread, we add them to the mixture of the vegan oatmeal burgers, and we stop adding them when we obtain a semi-thick paste.
  • Now we separate our dough into balls and once ready, we flatten them, leaving the hamburgers approximately 1 cm. wide, and again we cover them with ground bread to make them more consistent and firm.
  • Once our vegan carrot burgers are formed, we take them to fry in a pan with the previously heated oil, we let them sew on both sides over medium heat.
  • AND READY! We serve the hot vegan oatmeal and carrot burgers accompanied by a delicious salad or we form the traditional burgers with the bun bread.
