  • 600 grams of green tomato
  • 3 Serrano peppers
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 sprig of coriander
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube (optional)
  • 6 eggs

How to make drowned eggs in green sauce:

  1. To make the recipe for drowned eggs in green sauce, in a skillet or Comal, roast the green tomatoes, the piece of onion, the garlic clove and the Serrano peppers until they are slightly toasted from the skin.
  2. Turn them over constantly so they cook evenly.

  4. When they are ready, take these ingredients to the blender with a sprig of coriander and blend for 3 minutes to have a smooth texture.

  12. Tip: the cooking time once the eggs have been added to the green sauce will depend on how cooked you want the yolk.
