Recipe for Cream of Broccoli with Cheese

If you have a hard time getting the little ones to eat vegetables, with this easy recipe you will make broccoli become the favorite vegetable of the whole family. Broccoli and cheese cream is a fun, healthy and nutritious dish, perfect for cold days and to enjoy alone or in company.

Ingredients to make cream of broccoli with cheese:

  1. 1 piece of broccoli
  2. 1 liter of milk
  3. 1 package of Cornstarch
  4. ¼ kilogram of fresh cheese
  5. ½ onion
  6. 1 bar of butter
  7. 2 tablespoons of chicken broth

How to make Cream of Broccoli with Cheese:

  • Start preparing the vegetable cream by breaking the broccoli into pieces and boiling it in hot water. When cooked, drain and puree in a blender, food processor, or electric hand mixer until thick and creamy.
  • When the broccoli is finely shredded, reserve it for a moment, take a pot and melt the butter in it. Add the peeled and finely chopped onion, sauté it for a few seconds and add the broccoli cream.
  • Separately, dissolve the cornstarch in a glass with a little warm milk and add it to the pot along with the rest of the milk.
  • Tip: If you want to enhance the flavor of the cream, you can add a little cheese and let it melt with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Let the preparation thicken and remove it from the heat when it is ready. If you want, you can puree the cream of broccoli with an electric hand mixer to make sure there are no lumps.
  • Serve the cream of broccoli with squares of fresh cheese on top or cubes of fried bread
