Ravioli recipe in tomato sauce

Ingredients to make Ravioli in tomato sauce:

  • 250 grams of Ravioli
  • 4 units of tomato
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1½ units of Carrot
  • 1 unit of onion
  • 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch of oregano
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon of Sugar

How to make Ravioli in tomato sauce:

  • These are the ingredients we need to prepare the ravioli in tomato sauce. For the pasta, we choose a fresh variety with egg and stuffed with meat, cheese or vegetables, to taste. For the homemade tomato sauce, in addition to tomatoes, we will need onion, celery and carrot.
  • Wash and chop the carrot and celery with a blender, peel the onion and also pass it through the blender. We will fry this mixture of vegetables in a pan with a little oil.
  • After a few minutes, we incorporate the tomatoes, previously washed and chopped. We will add half a tablespoon of sugar to reduce the acidity of the tomato, and then we will add salt and pepper. Let it cook over medium heat for about eight minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a pot we boil abundant water with salt. When it boils, we pour the ravioli and cook them following the indications of the brand; normally fresh egg pasta needs a short time, in this case four minutes.
  • When the pasta is ready, drain it and serve it on a plate. We have the tomato sauce on top, and we will sprinkle oregano and, if we like cheese, a little Parmesan. Our pasta with tomato sauce is ready to taste.
