Rassolnik-recipe

Ingredients for making Rassolnik:

  • 300gr of beef
  • 50 grams of rice
  • 1 large carrot
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 pickled cucumbers
  • 1 tomato
  • 20 grams of parsley
  • Salt
  • cut cream

How to make Rassolnik:

  1. Prepare a broth with the meat.
  2. Put the meat in a large pot with 3 liters of cold water.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and remove floating fat with a spoon.
  4. Add the onion.
  5. Cook over low heat for an hour
  6. In a pan, melt a tablespoon of margarine and add the chopped onion, carrot and parsley.
  7. Cover and sauté over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Add the cut tomato and leave it for another 5 minutes.
  9. In a frying pan pour a cup of the broth and add the cucumbers cut into small pieces
  10. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes over low heat.
  11. Add rice to the broth, after boiling add potatoes cut into bars and the sautéed vegetables.
  12. Cook for 15 minutes.
  13. After this, add the cucumbers and cook for 5 more minutes.
  14. Add salt to taste and serve with cut cream.
