Quinoa Recipe with Mushrooms

FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

Quinoa is a food rich in protein and fiber, a characteristic that has made quinoa recipes very popular in vegan and vegetarian diets in recent years.

Technically, quinoa is the seed of an herb, although most of us know it as a cereal, due to its composition and the way it is consumed. In this recipe we will learn how to make quinoa with mushrooms, a delicious and nutritious dish, with a creamy texture similar to that of a risotto.

Ingredients to make Quinoa with mushrooms:

  1. 125 grams of Quinoa
  2. 250 grams of mushrooms
  3. 2 garlic cloves
  4. 1 branch of leek
  5. 150 milliliters of Cream of milk (¾ cup)
  6. 1 splash of sunflower oil
  7. 1 pinch of salt
  8. 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Quinoa with mushrooms:

  • To prepare this recipe with quinoa quickly and easily, I recommend that you start by getting all the ingredients ready on the work table.
  • To start cooking, in a pot with a cup and a half of water, cook the quinoa with a pinch of salt until the grain opens and the water evaporates. This process can take approximately 20 minutes.
  • Separately, in a frying pan with oil, sauté the leek onion until golden. Then add the mushrooms and cook over medium heat.
  • It is time to add the finely chopped garlic and fry over low heat for a few minutes, season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the milk cream, mix very well and add the quinoa. Cook the whole for a few minutes, rectify flavor with salt and pepper.
  • Finally, serve the quinoa with mushrooms and enjoy. This recipe can be consumed as a garnish accompanying a chicken breast with honey and soy or a caramelized pork loin.
