  • 1 unit of white onion
  • 20 grams of fresh parsley
  • 100 milliliters of soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of Salt and Pepper

How to make Quinoa Meatballs:

  1. To start making our quinoa meatballs recipe, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.
  2. Wash the quinoa very well, to do so, place the quinoa in a strainer and put it under the stream until the water stops coming out white, once it comes out transparent we already have our main ingredient ready to cook.
  3. To cook the quinoa, take it to a deep pot and bring it to a boil with water in the same proportions as white rice.
  4.  Two cups of water for each cup of quinoa and a pinch of salt to taste, over medium heat until the water dries up, then lower the heat to a simmer and cover the pot, in this way we will finish cooking the quinoa.
  5. Make a sauce with the finely chopped onion and a little oil.
  6. Also add salt, pepper and garlic paste to taste.
  7. When you see that the onion is well fried, add the cooked quinoa and the fresh parsley.
  8. Mix very well until you integrate all the ingredients of the preparation for the quinoa meatballs.
  9. Remove our preparation to a bowl and let it cool down to be able to handle it without problem
  10. Once the mixture is at room temperature, with your hand we form the balls by exerting a little pressure on them, in this way you will obtain the meatballs.
  11. You can make them bigger or, as in this case, smaller to serve as a starter.
  12. To cook the meatballs, take a frying pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil, once you see that it is hot, add the quinoa meatballs to fry them, this way they are crispy on the outside. Sauté for approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
  13. On top of a plate, add a piece of absorbent paper and place the quinoa meatballs there, ready to remove excess oil.
  14. Serve our quinoa meatballs with a homemade tomato or Neapolitan sauce.
  15. You can eat them as a starter or main dish, they are really exquisite.
