Quinoa Cream Recipe

Ingredients to make Quinoa Cream:

  • 1 bunch of Spinach
  • 1 unit of white onion
  • 1 cup of cooked Quinoa
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 2 dessert spoons of Butter
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 3 units of sliced ​​bread
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 500 milliliters of vegetable broth

How to make Quinoa Cream:

  • The first step to make our quinoa cream recipe is to pre-list the ingredients.
  • Take a deep pot over medium heat with a little oil, add the white onion in hulls as seen in the photograph.
  • Add the cooked quinoa and previously cooked spinach leaves as well. Mix all the ingredients very well.
  • Cover the ingredients with the vegetable broth and add salt and pepper to taste. Let it keep for about 20 minutes.
  • Trick: If you want to give it a different touch, you can substitute the vegetable broth for poultry broth.
  • Transfer the ingredients of our quinoa recipe to a bowl or a blender and let cool to room temperature. When everything is cold, process until everything is well integrated.
  • Return the crushed mixture to the pot and add the milk. Leave it on low heat for about 10 more minutes.
  • To make the croutons that will accompany our recipe, we take a pan over medium heat and add the butter. This step is optional.
  • Add the bread in medium squares as we see in the photograph adding salt, pepper and a little garlic paste or garlic powder to taste.
  • The ideal is that the croutons are golden. When they are done, remove from the heat to prevent them from burning.
  • Serve our quinoa cream, the green color is due to the spinach leaves that I added but if you wish, you can add a different vegetable such as carrot for example.
