This Cuban-style rice is an easy and quick recipe to prepare, since we can make it with few ingredients and in a short time. The recipe for Cuban-style rice without banana that I bring you is a traditional recipe from Cuba, although they accompany this dish with a fried banana, but here we do not have that custom and we only accompany the rice with fried tomato and egg.

A delicious main course that will delight both the oldest and the youngest in the house.

Ingredients to make quick and easy Cuban-style rice:

  • 200 grams of rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 grams of fried tomato
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Cuban Rice easy and fast:

  1. We prepare all the ingredients to prepare the Cuban rice without banana.
  2. We put a saucepan with plenty of water and a little salt, when the water starts to boil we add the rice, we will stir it from time to time so that the Cuban rice remains loose.
  3. Once the rice is cooked, strain it and rinse with plenty of cold water. We drain it well.
  4. We serve the rice to each diner on a plate. Cover with the fried tomato that we have previously heated.
  5. We take a frying pan, put a little olive oil and make the fried egg.
  6. Place the egg on top of the tomato rice and it’s ready to eat! You can accompany the easy Cuban rice recipe with baked Brussels sprouts with cheese or some artichokes in sauce, for example.
