Homemade quiches are ideal for a quick dinner or for any unforeseen event, they are prepared quickly, they are usually quite cheap and everyone likes them, including children.

All quiche recipes are delicious but when I make them with meat they always succeed, they are very juicy; and if like this, you add artichokes, it is very tasty!

That’s why this time I share this recipe for minced meat and cheese quiche with artichokes to suck your fingers. Are you going to miss it?

Ingredients to make Quiche with minced meat and cheese:

  • 200 grams of minced beef and pork
  • 1 short crust pastry
  • 200 milliliters of evaporated milk or liquid cream
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 artichokes
  • 1 onion
  • 200 grams of grated cheese
  • 1 pinch of ground pepper
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg

How to make Minced Beef and Cheese Quiche:

We will begin to make this minced meat and cheese quiche by peeling and cutting the onion into small pieces. Likewise, remove the toughest leaves from the artichokes, peel the tail and cut them into regular pieces. Heat a frying pan with oil and when it is hot, add the artichoke pieces and fry. When it is almost done, remove and reserve.

In the same oil add the chopped onion and fry; when it is almost done add the minced meat, give it a few turns and season; leave a few minutes until the meat has changed color, then remove from the heat and reserve.

While the meat and vegetable quiche filling is sautéing, prepare the dough: to do this, spread out the short crust pastry and line a previously greased quiche mold with butter.  Cover with fresh chickpeas or any other legume and cook in the oven for about 15 minutes, remove from the oven and reserve.

On the other hand, beat the eggs with the Ideal milk or liquid cream, add the cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg, and mix well.

Cover the quiche dough with the fried meat and onion, pour the egg mixture and place the reserved fried artichokes on top. Bake the ground beef quiche at 350ºF for about 30 minutes, until done.

To check that the meat and vegetable quiche is done, pierce the filling with a knife, and if it comes out clean, it’s done. Do not leave it longer than necessary so that it does not dry out, it is better that it is juicy. Serve the freshly made minced meat and cheese quiche.
