Puttanesca Spaghetti Recipe with Sauce

Ingredients to make Spaghetti puttanesca with sauce:

  • 250g spaghetti
  • 30ml virgin olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 700g tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green olives
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped oregano
  • 3 tablespoons chopped capers
  • 4 teaspoons chopped anchovies
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground chili pepper to taste

How to make Spaghetti alla putanesca with sauce:

  1. Heat the oil over medium heat and fry the garlic, without turning brown.
  2. Once the garlic is transparent, add the tomato, parsley, olives, oregano, capers, anchovies and chilli.
  3. This dish is spicy; therefore the amount of chilli can vary according to personal taste.
  4. Let the sauce cook for ten minutes.
  5. Boil the pasta al dente in plenty of salted water.
  6. Drain and mix with the sauce.
  7. Serve immediately.
