Ingredients to make Pumpkin Pie:

  • 300 grams of pumpkin puree (or 600 g raw)
  • 100 grams of sugar (½ cup)
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 grams of milk cream (cream to mount)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 sheet of shortcrust pastry

How to make Pumpkin Pie:

  1. To prepare the “pumpkin pie”, the first thing you must do is clean the pumpkin.
  2. Remove the skin and seeds and cut the pulp into small pieces, place them in a bowl and put it in the microwave to cook itat maximum power for 8-10 minutes.
  3.  The final time will vary depending on the microwave. You can also roast the pumpkin in the oven, then the steps are the same.
  4. When cooked, mash the squashwith an electric hand mixer or with a fork
  5. Add the eggs and sugarand beat until well blended. Add the spices and milk or cream and continue mixing.

  10. Trick: To prevent it from inflating during cooking, add some weight on top, such as dried legumes.
  11. Pour the filling over the dough and bake the pumpkin pie for 30 minutes.
  12. Prick the center with a toothpick to see if the cake is done: if it comes out dry it will be ready. Watch that it is not toasted too much on top or it will burn.
