Pumpkin Flower Soup Recipe

Ingredients to make Pumpkin Flower Soup:

  • 1 kilogram of pumpkin flower
  • 3 units of Italian Pumpkin
  • 125 grams of tender corn kernels.
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 125 grams of onion
  • 4 branches of Epazote
  • 1½ liters of chicken broth or water

How to make Pumpkin Flower Soup:

  1. We prepare our ingredients, wash the pumpkin flower, the zucchini and the corn kernels, separately and let them drain. We chop the zucchini. Chop the garlic and onion finely. So now we have the ingredients for the rich pumpkin flower soup ready.
  2. The following ingredients are fried in that order, the garlic, and the onion. When the onion is transparent, add the corn kernels and the chopped pumpkin.
  3. Add the pumpkin flower and stir.
  4. Add the consommé and the sliced ​​epazote. If we like a spicy touch, we can add dry chipotle chili strips to taste.
