Pumpkin Cream Recipe with Thermomix

Pumpkin is the autumn ingredient, although the truth is that in other parts of the world you can enjoy pumpkin or auyama throughout the year. In this case, we show you all the steps to prepare a rich and creamy soup, perfect for cold days, a terrifyingly irresistible vegetable cream, pumpkin cream.

As this recipe with Thermomix is ​​a special recipe for Halloween, the decoration will be done under this concept, however you can skip these extras since they are not essential to enjoy the rich pumpkin cream with Thermomix.

Ingredients to make Pumpkin Cream with Thermomix:

  • 600 grams of peeled Pumpkin or Auyama
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 leeks
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • 100 milliliters of cream or milk cream
  • 50 milliliters of olive oil
  • 600 milliliters of vegetable broth
  • Decoration (optional)
  • whole meal sliced ​​bread
  • Breadsticks or bread sticks
  • sliced ​​cheese

How to make Pumpkin cream with Thermomix:

  • Place the carrot, pumpkin and leek in the glass, previously washed, peeled and cut into large pieces. Program the Thermomix for 4 seconds at speed 4 to finish chopping more finely.
  • Next, add the oil and program again but this time for 5 minutes in Aroma mode with speed 2. When the machine stops, add all the pumpkin and program for 10 minutes with speed 2 but this time with a temperature of 100º.
  • The next step will be to incorporate the vegetable broth, seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper. Program the Thermomix for 15 minutes at speed 1, maintaining the temperature at 100º.
  • If you see that the amount of broth is not enough to cover all the vegetables, add a little more broth or water. If you prefer, you can also use chicken broth to finish preparing the pumpkin cream for Halloween.
  • When there is one minute left to finish, add the milk cream and activate the progressive speed 5-7-9 so that we have a homogeneous cream with a smooth texture.
  • To make the decoration, toast the slices of whole meal bread and cut them into the shape of bats, ghosts or the like with the help of short cookie dough. With the grissini and the cheese, make some fun witch’s brooms as you can see in the main photo.
  • Serve the pumpkin cream with Thermomix in individual bowls or if you have, in the empty shells of the pumpkin and accompany with the bread and brooms to make this a great Halloween recipe for adults and children.
