  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 sweet onion
  • 2 pieces of carrot
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of tamarind sauce
  • 1 slice of grated ginger
  • 2 pieces of limes
  • 250 grams of rice noodles
  • 6 pieces of prawn or prawn
  • 3 sprigs of fresh coriander
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 handful of peanuts, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup of soft tofu

How to make Prawn Pad Thai:

  • To start with this shrimp pad Thai recipe, hydrate the noodles or noodles following the manufacturer’s procedure. When they have reached their cooking point, cut them by rinsing them and cooling them in cold water to prevent them from continuing to cook. Reserve them.
  • Take one of the limes and grate the rind, squeeze out the juice. Mix with the soy sauce, the tamarind sauce, the fish sauce and, if you like, grated ginger. Let the mixture rest while you continue with the recipe.
  • Remove the shell from the prawns, leaving the end of the tail; pour a splash of olive oil and lightly fry for a couple of minutes shaking the pan or wok. Scoop out the shrimp and set aside for later.
  • Cut the tofu into small squares and fry it for another two minutes with a few drops of oil, stirring the wok often so that they brown a little on all sides. Once ready, set aside and reserve for later.
  • Finely chop the onion, carrot and pepper. Prepare the wok or a wide frying pan again to accommodate each of the ingredients that you will add next.
  • Pour a few drops of oil in the pan and fry the vegetables that you cut finely. Keep them on low heat for three minutes so that the vegetables are al dente. Sauté and add the mixture of juices and sauces that you prepared with the lime.
  • Beat the eggs and add them to a corner of the wok to allow them to set. Stir slightly without completely undoing.
  • Drain the noodles and pour them into the wok, mixing them with the rest of the ingredients. Give a point of salt and stir gently so that the pasta does not dissolve and everything is heated evenly
  • Chop the cilantro not too finely and also the peanuts into pieces. Squeeze the rest of the remaining lime and add it along with the tofu to the wok. Stir so that everything is integrated and let it heat for one or two more minutes. Now all that remains is to add the prawns!
  • Serve the shrimp pad Thai to the table, garnishing it with bits of lime. As you will see, this dish is very light and low in fat, so it is an excellent option for a different, very nutritious and satisfying meal.
