In today’s recipe we bring an ideal accompaniment to any dish, it is potatoes or potatoes gratin. A simple preparation but with the special touch of some spices, milk and heavy cream. The gratin potatoes with cheese is also a dish that the little ones at home will adore, so don’t waste any more time and get to work.
Ingredients to make Potato Gratin:
- 8 units of potatoes or medium potatoes.
- 200 milliliters of Cream of milk (1 cup)
- 1 cup of Milk (240 milliliters)
- 1 pinch of garlic powder
- 180 grams of Parmesan cheese
- 1 pinch of Nutmeg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of black pepper
How to make Potato Gratin:
- The first step to make our potato gratin recipe is to prepare the ingredients.
- Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices as shown in the photograph. Then, take them to a pot with enough water and a pinch of salt. Bring to medium heat and cook the potatoes until soft
- Once the potatoes are soft, remove them from the water and drain them very well. Place them in a refractory as shown in the photograph.
- Add a little salt, black pepper, and nutmeg and garlic powder evenly distributed on all the baked potatoes.
- Mix the milk and milk cream and add on top of our baked potatoes.
- Finally add the Parmesan cheese on top and take it to the oven at 180º C. until you see that the cheese is browned evenly.
- Serve the potato gratin
