Potato gnocchi with chicken recipe

Ingredients to make potato gnocchi with chicken:

  1. For 5 people:
  2. 1 kg of potatoes
  3. 1/4 kg white flour
  4. 4 egg yolks
  5. Salt
  6. Grated cheese
  7. Chicken sauce (For various pastas):
  8. 1 chopped chicken
  9. 5kg ripe tomatoes
  10. 2 medium onions
  11. 1/2 head of garlic
  12. 2 carrots
  13. Aromatic herbs
  14. Pepper
  15. 1 pinch of salt
  16. Cream of milk or water (to taste)

How to make Potato Gnocchi with Chicken:

  • To make the potato gnocchi with chicken, choose that round, small-sized potatoes. Once selected, wash them well and cook them in water without removing the skin.
  • When the potatoes are cooked, they are carefully peeled and mashed. To avoid lumps, pass the mashed potatoes through a strainer.
  • Form a volcano with the flour and place the egg yolks, the mashed potatoes in the center and mix well. If necessary, add more flour.
  • Make cylinders with the dough and cut small rectangles of 1.5 cm to form the gnocchi. To give that typical look, lightly press the tips of the fork on each piece, so the lines will be marked.

  • Sauté and add aromatic herbs to taste, salt and pepper. To make a juicy sauce, you can pour a little hot water or milk cream, depending on the type of sauce you prefer.
  • When the sauce is ready, add it over the gnocchi and, if you want, sprinkle grated cheese and bake in the oven for a few minutes at 180ºC. This step is completely optional, but it should be noted that the potato gnocchi with chicken are much tastier.
