Potato and tuna stew recipe

When the cold arrives, you want hot dishes. Apart from soups, stews are an excellent option, like this potato and tuna stew, which represents a tasty and filling main dish. Learn how to cook it with these simple steps.

Ingredients to make potato and tuna stew:

  • 3 units of potato
  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 2 units of Tomato
  • 1 unit of onion
  • 1 unit of green pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pinch of coriander
  • 1 jet of oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 unit of chili pepper
  • 1 pinch of Paprika

How to make Potato and Tuna Stew:

  1. Here we have the ingredients for this tuna and potato stew, which we combine with other vegetables, such as peppers, onions and tomatoes. The spices, which are optional or you can substitute them with other alternatives, will add flavor to this stew with tuna.
  2. Cut the onion into julienne strips and put it in a saucepan with oil, already hot, to brown it.
  3. Then we add the green pepper, which we will have washed and chopped, and the prickly pear, also chopped. We will leave it for a few minutes so that it browns well, while we stir with a wooden spoon to prevent it from sticking to the pot.
  4. The next step to make this potato and fish stew is to add the tomato, previously washed and chopped, and the bay leaf. We will also add a little salt, as well as the coriander and the rest of the spices.
  5. While it cooks for a few more minutes, wash and peel the potatoes, and cut them into pieces similar to those of tuna. Add them to the pot and let them cook for five minutes.
  6. After five minutes, cover the tuna stew with water and let it cook for about 30 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove the chili when serving the stew, which you can plate and consume right away or leave to rest for a few hours. Accompany it with white wine, and enjoy
