Ingredients to make Potato and prawn cake:
- 1 can of Bonito in oil
- 200 grams of Prawns
- 500 grams of potatoes
- 50 grams of butter
- 4 units of Eggs
- 2 tablespoons of fried tomato
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of white pepper
- 1 pinch of breadcrumbs
- for the sauce
- 1 glass of Oil
- 1 unit of Egg
- 2 tablespoons of Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Potato and Prawn Pie:
- To make the seafood cake, the first thing we do is cook the potatoes with half a liter of water, a pinch of salt and bay leaf to taste.
- When they are boiled, we pass them through the potato mill and crush them with the butter, a pinch of pepper, the fried tomato and the beaten eggs.
- Peel the prawns and save some to decorate once the potato cake is finished. Mix the peeled prawns with the tuna and add it all to the previous preparation.
- We take a mold, spread a little butter and breadcrumbs and introduce the puree into it.
- Bake in a bain-marie for 30 minutes, or until the cake sets, at a medium temperature. When ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool.
- While it cools, we prepare a simple mayonnaise with the egg, oil, vinegar and salt. Once this is done, add the ketchup and stir well.
- Once the tuna cake is cold, remove it from the mold and cover it with the sauce prepared in the previous step.
- We serve the leftover sauce in a sauce boat so that each diner can add the amount they want.
- We garnish the potato pie with cucumber slices, the prawns that we reserved and accompany it with a warm or cold salad, whatever you like best.
