Potato and Octopus Stew Recipe
Ingredients to make Potato and Octopus Stew:
- for 4 people
- 1 octopus of 2 kilos.
- 600 grams of potatoes.
- 1 onion.
- 1 deciliter of oil.
- 2 cloves of garlic.
- 1 bay leaf.
- ½ teaspoon of sweet paprika.
- 1 pinch of hot paprika.
How to make Potato and Octopus Stew:

Cook half an onion in a saucepan with water over high heat.

When the water starts to boil, we submerge the octopus caught by the head and take it out quickly.

We repeat this operation three times and then let it boil for 15 minutes.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.

Add the potatoes to the cooked octopus.

Prick the octopus and the potatoes and let everything cook for 20 minutes.

Remove the pot from the heat and reserve the octopus and potatoes.

In a frying pan with oil, brown the chopped garlic, half an onion and the bay leaf.

Remove from heat and let cool.

Add the sweet paprika and a pinch of hot paprika to the sauce.

Cut the octopus into slices and place on top of the potatoes.
