Potato and bacon gratin cake recipe

In this recipe we are going to make a delicious potato pie with bacon and cheese, ideal to accompany the meals you want. It is a truly exquisite dish, with which you will want to lick your fingers. Let’s see the step by step of the recipe and its ingredients.

Ingredients to make Potato and bacon gratin cake:

  • 10 units of medium potatoes
  • 1 glass of milk cream
  • 1 glass of milk
  • 30 grams of Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of Butter
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of Dutch Cheese
  • 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper

How to make Potato and bacon gratin cake:

  1. The first step to make the potato pie recipe is to prepare the ingredients.
  2. Peel and cut the potatoes into medium squares, take them to a deep pot with enough water to cover them and cook them until they are soft to make a puree with them
  3. Drain the potatoes when done, place them in a bowl and add the butter. With the help of a mash press or a fork, make the mashed potatoe
  4. Add salt, black pepper and a pinch of garlic to give the potatoes a touch of flavor.
  5. Add the cream of milk and milk to get the mashed potatoes to take a creamy consistency.
  6. To start assembling the potato cake, in a deep refractory pan previously greased with butter, add a little of the mashed potatoes to the bottom.
  7. Add two slices of cheese as shown in the photograph. That is, cutting the mozzarella and Dutch cheese into strips and interspersing them.

  11. Ideally, the layers of cheese and bacon should be in the center of the potato cake.
  12. Preheat the oven to 180ºC and bake the cake until the cheese gratins.
  13. When the Parmesan cheese is melted, the mashed potatoes are ready to serve.
  14. Remove the potato pie from the oven and serve in individual portions.
  15. Serve the potato pie piping hot as an accompaniment to a pepper tenderloin or grilled chicken.
