Pork leg with orange recipe

Ingredients to make Pork leg with orange:

  • 1 kilogram of boneless pork leg
  • 2 cups of natural orange juice
  • 1 liter of chicken broth
  • 2 Chiles de arbol seedless
  • 4 large garlic cloves without shell
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 jet of Oil
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of Cilantro chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • Corn tortillas to serve

How to make orange pork leg:

  1. Take a large pot and put a little oil to heat. While it’s heating up, take the opportunity to season the pork with salt and pepper all over. Once hot, she sears the pork shank over medium heat, turning it to get even.
  2. While the meat is browning, blend the orange juice with the chiles and the peeled garlic. When the pork is well browned, add what you just blended, add the chicken broth and mix well. Cook over low heat with the pot covered for 3-4 hours.
  3. Also add the whole potatoes but leave them in the pot for only an hour. After this time, if you notice that they are soft, remove them, peel them and when serving the meat, chop them to taste and fry them.
  4. When the pork is done, remove it from the pot and place it on a plate. Cover it with the medium thick sauce that was left over from cooking and garnish with the fried potatoes, cilantro and chopped onion. Serve the pork leg with orange cut into fillets and accompanied with corn tortillas, toast or white rice.
