Ingredients to make Pomegranate and Blue Cheese Salad:

  • ½ unit of pomegranate
  • 80 grams of blue cheese
  • 200 grams of Lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons of shelled walnuts
  • 1½ tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 2½ tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Pomegranate Blue Cheese Salad:

We gathered all the ingredients to prepare the pomegranate and blue cheese salad. To prepare this gourmet salad, we can use other nuts such as pumpkin seeds, pine nuts and hazelnuts. First, we cut the pomegranate in half and shell it. To remove the grains from the pomegranate in a simple and clean way, we hit the skin of the pomegranate with the help of a spoon.

Next, we cut the blue cheese into not very thick cubes. If you don’t have blue cheese you can use a little Cabals cheese or even goat cheese. Ideally, it should be a cheese with a strong flavor that contrasts with the rest of the ingredients. We prepare a dressing with the pomegranate. To do this, we mix the rice vinegar with a pinch of salt, olive oil, a teaspoon of honey and 4 tablespoons of pomegranate. Let it macerate for a few minutes.

We assemble the pomegranate and blue cheese salad. To do this, place the lettuce at the base of the plate or salad bowl, put the diced blue cheese and add the quartered or halved walnuts. To finish, we season with the macerated pomegranate dressing on top and present.

To complete a gourmet menu, you can accompany this pomegranate and blue cheese salad with pork tenderloin with plum sauce and a dessert of homemade profiteroles. Bon Appetite!
