  • 300 bunches of flat pods or green beans
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 1 splash of vinegar
  • 2 pinches of parsley
  • 2 pinches of Vera paprika
  • 1 pinch of curry (optional)
  • 1 splash of olive oil

How to make pods with potatoes:

1.Peel, wash and cut the potatoes. Next, put a pot on the fire with a splash of oil and fry the potatoes in it when it is hot. We will make the pods with potatoes in an express pot, but you can use a conventional pot. Sauté for 3 minutes and add the coarsely chopped garlic cloves. This way, you will prevent them from burning.

2.Cook for 1 minute and add the washed pods cut into pieces approximately three fingers long. If you wish, you can make the pieces smaller.

Tip: At this point, you can add other ingredients such as carrot or even ham or chorizo.

3.Sauté everything together for 2 more minutes and pour two glasses of water, add a pinch of salt to taste, close the pot and let the pods with potatoes cook for 15 minutes to prevent them from getting too soft. If you use a conventional pot, you should keep in mind that they will take twice as long to cook.

Tip: Depending on the size of the potato or pod, the cooking time may vary.

4.You already have your plate ready! You simply have to drain the remaining water to serve the pods with potatoes recipe without liquid. We recommend adding a splash of vinegar and twice as much olive oil, mix and allow it to emulsify. Likewise, sprinkle a little paprika from La Vera, preferably smoked, and curry.

Tip: You can serve this dish completely cold or warm, so you can take it equally in both summer and winter.
