Pineapple Tea for Weight Loss

  • The first thing we must do to be able to prepare pineapple tea to lose weight is to peel the pineapple to keep the shell. Yes, we will make the tea with the peel of the fruit, so we can reserve the pineapple pulp to prepare a smoothie, for example.
  • If you don’t know how to peel a pineapple, we’ll explain it to you quickly. Cut both ends of the pineapple with a serrated knife or a very sharp one. Place the pineapple in a vertical position and remove the peel by cutting strips from top to bottom. Easy, right?
  • Now that we have the pineapple peel, we wash it well to continue preparing the tea to lose weight. For this, we have the option of using the express pot or a common pot. The only difference between them is that with the pressure cooker the peel will release its juices better, while with the common pot we will have to help it by pricking it.
  • If we use an express pot, add the water, the pineapple peel, the cinnamon stick and let it cook over low heat for 30 minutes. If we use the common pot, we also add all the ingredients, cover the pot and leave it over low heat for 30 minutes, puncturing the shell every 10 minutes. If you prefer, you can use cloves instead of cinnamon. We have opted for cinnamon for its slimming effects.
  • Tip: If the pineapple is small, reduce the amount of water.
  • After the cooking time is over, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool. Once cold, strain the pineapple tea and store the water in glass jars with hermetic closure.
