Ingredients to make Pickled Tuna Salad:

  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can of green olives (pitted)
  • 1 can of black olives (pitted)
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 3 cans of pickled tuna
  • 1 jar of Mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Pickled Tuna Salad:

To start making the pickled tuna salad, in a saucepan with plenty of water, boils the potatoes with their skins until they are done.

When the potatoes have 15 minutes left to be ready, we also put the eggs to cook in another pan with boiling water. And while the potatoes and eggs are cooking, we are going to chop the rest of the ingredients for the pickled tuna salad. The way in which the ingredients are chopped will go to the taste of each one.

Once we have the chopped ingredients in a salad bowl, add the ground black pepper, the salt and the 3 cans of drained pickled tuna. When the potatoes are ready, we remove them, pass them through cold water, peel them if we want and chop them to also incorporate them into the pickled tuna salad.

We do the same process with the eggs, pass them through cold water, remove the shell and chop them to taste to mix them with the rest of the ingredients. Finally, we add the mayonnaise to taste to bind the ingredients well and provide an extra flavor. You can buy it already prepared, or make your own homemade mayonnaise.

Clever! We serve the marinated tuna salad as a single dish or as a side to any meat, such as grilled chicken or steak stuffed with vegetables. If you want, you can serve the salad on a bed of lettuce and decorate with green beans.
