Pesto Macaroni Recipe

Ingredients to make Pesto Macaroni:

  1. 500 grams of macaroni
  2. 250 grams of goat cheese
  3. 200 milliliters of olive oil
  4. 50 grams of fresh Basil
  5. 100 grams of Walnuts
  6. 200 milliliters of evaporated milk
  7. 5 garlic cloves
  8. 3 teaspoons of Salt

How to make Pesto Macaroni:

  • To know how to prepare macaroni with pesto, the first thing we must do is cook the pasta with a pinch of salt. We will cook it following the instructions on the package.
  • While we cook the macaroni, we are preparing the pesto sauce. To do this, we take the blender or a container with a high edge, add the basil leaves, the peeled and chopped garlic and crush it well. As we blend, gradually add the olive oil. If you wish, you can add some almonds to the sauce.
  • Add the cheese and milk and continue blending until obtaining a homogeneous sauce. You can substitute the goat cheese for the cheese that you like the most. Add the chopped walnuts and mix, adding a pinch of salt if necessary. If you prefer, you can prepare a pesto sauce with pine nuts, it is an option with a different touch but just as delicious.
  • When the paste is ready, drain it and run through cold water. Put the macaroni back in the pot where we cooked it, this time without water, add the pesto sauce and heat it all together for a few minutes.
  • And ready! We can now serve our pesto macaroni decorating the plate with cherry tomatoes. As you can see, it is a very simple, fast and exquisite recipe.
